So, I am kind of traumatized to admit it…but I AM SO OVER THE OFFICE. I really never thought I’d say it. We realized earlier this week that we’re probably three to four weeks behind in our Office watching, and neither Joey nor I really seem to care that much about it.
This season has just kind of been hit or miss for me, and in my opinion most of the episodes have been big huge misses. The Superbowl episode was the straw that broke the camel’s back. (Can we all say “jumped the shark about twelve times” together?)
Jim? Pam? I love you, you’re cute and all…but you’re not quite enough to get me to drive down to DTS on Friday evening to see what we missed on Thursday anymore. When I realized that tonight is a new episode, I didn’t even get excited about it.
Sorry.
I just don’t really care all that much anymore.
(Oh, and it’s not you, it’s me.)
Dear Sister,
My love affair with The Office has long since ended as well. I didn’t want to watch it anymore last year because so many episodes were so off color, etc. But it was hard to break things off…I am glad it has deteriorated so much more because now I don’t even miss it, either:-)
Love,
Sister
The Office was a show that I never really fell in love with. I’ve watched a few episodes, but it’s never one of those shows that I felt the need to watch (more like, if I’m flipping channels and it catches my eye, I may sit and watch it).
But I do know the pain of breaking up with a show.
I think this symptom must be national…we have to drag our our projector and some other kind of electronical thingies that I can’t identify to even watch TV. Needless to say, when 8pm central rolled around…I wasn’t the least bit motivated to make the effort to watch The Office. Anyhoo, I decided to go to Micheal’s for a little creative outlet. Aaaaand, pretty much didn’t miss watching it. At. All. Oh, and I agree w/ you dear sister…some of the off-coloredness doesn’t make me sad that The Office fad is wearing off.
