Last night, I was feeling tricksy.
First, I ate one of Henry’s dog biscuits (just to see what it tasted like) and discovered that it was tasteless, dry and kind of gross. I don’t know why he likes those things, but I can tell you that it really ticked him off that I ate one of his treats and didn’t give one to him.
Second, I made a HONK IF YOU LOVE IOWA sign to put in the back window of the car on the drive to Iowa. (Yes, we’re going.)
I will be tabulating the number of legitimate honks we receive as we drive up to Iowa this evening, and I shall report on them on this here blog tomorrow. I realize that most of you would not honk if you saw me driving down the road, because you do not realize what you are missing. Iowa is the best. (Joey knows this, too, because I sang Fifty Nifty United States for him this morning, ending with the “I-O-W-A IS THE BEESSSSSSSTTTTT” part…that song is way too long.)
Joey’s getting shiny new tires put on our car this morning. I hope they make us drive faster.
First: I hope Joey made you brush your teeth before he let you kiss him after eating HENRY’S TREAT.
Second: HONK!
I’ve never been to Iowa, but I doubt you would lie to me, so HONK!!!
Wow, I didn’t know anyone else knew the Fifty, Nifty United States song besides me!!! Of course I learned in in grade school in Illinois so we had to sing Illinois is the best!!!!!!
Of course now, Iowa is the best!
HONK HONK!!
I absolutely LOVE that song! Whenever we would play categories in the pool, I would always say that my category was states because I knew I could name them all, so everyone would HAVE to swim across at some point.
I do have to say that I always sing that Texas is the best. (Sometimes I might throw in South Carolina or Colorado if we’ve just been on vacation, but even if I sing those, I feel guilty and have to go back and add Texas in there. Hehe)
