Tonight I fired my broiler and made some salmon.
Before I did that I got down my skillet and lightly fried up some bacon, just enough to render the fat and cook it a bit.
Does anyone else out there love Gorgonzola? We do. We do. So I used the creative powers of the brain that God gave me and made this up for dinner.
Joey thought it was good.
I thought it was OK. (Needs chives.)
Ana? Hated it.
Salmon with Bacon and Gorgonzola
from Jenna’s Brain, makes 3-4 servings
- 1 lb salmon
- 2 slices bacon
- 1/4 cup Gorgonzola cheese
- chives, if you have them
- salt and pepper
Salt and pepper the salmon and broil on low for 4 minutes. Or, until it looks like this:
Flip it over and broil again for 4 minutes. Then whip it out and crumble the gorgonzola (chives, if you have them) and top with bacon. Like so:
Broil another two minutes, or until the salmon is 145-155 degrees. (Whichever you prefer based upon your nervousness of how cooked your fish is.)
(I know. I shouldn’t have taken pictures of her her doing that.)
