It’s a new look!

So my blog got some new clothes. Joey found them for me based upon what I told him I wanted. Mainly, LOTS OF WHITE SPACE. With a side of more white space, please.

This is what he found me. I like it. I hope you do too. If you don’t, let me present 2 options:
1.) subscribe in Google Reader so you don’t have to see this
2.) bye bye!

But you’re all cool and nice and whatever, so I’m sure you’re all bout the change. I’ll do some other changes here and there over the next month, just to kinda clean this place up a bit.

I’ve had this blog since 2006 and BOY HOWDY! If it isn’t starting to get cluttered!

And I’m trying to think of a new name. Let’s be honest. There aren’t very many adventures in my life recently, mis or otherwise. Keeping Analie alive is, like, a full time job and whatever. (Don’t worry, I don’t talk to her like she’s a Valley girl.)

So that’s the news from my side of the street.

Oh.

And I made grapefruit cake yesterday. Sounds weird, but today the whole thing is gone. That is truth.

Power Of The Cross

I’ve been marinating myself in a new (to me) song for the past couple days because I need to know it for Sunday…or else make myself look like a dunce cap.  And I’m loving the way the lyrics powerfully illustrate how the Cross changes our position in Christ. GUYS! CHECK THIS OUT! We gracefully move from the extreme of being hopeless without Christ, to the having freedom and joy because of what Jesus’ death on the cross provided us: forgiveness.

Darkness to light.  Blind to seeing. Sinner to saint.  Bound to free.  Stranger to child. Empty to filled.  Condemned to reconciled.  Broken to healed. Prodigal to home. Lost to found. Enemy to friend. Poor to crowned.

I’m rejoicing in that forgiveness this Easter season.
