Party in her Exersaucer!

Party in her Exersaucer!

For Christmas, Ana received a very exciting Exersaucer from her Grandpa and Grandma Woestman.  At the time she weighed about 7 1/2 lbs so she wasn’t able to fully enjoy its Awesome.

Over the last few weeks her core strength has really improved (she can sit up!) so we’ve started putting her in it for a little bit of playtime a few times a day.

She’s obsessed with the head of the spinning bird.  I think she may be trying to suck its brains out.

Pass the remote, she says. And the popcorn.

Pass the remote, she says. And the popcorn.

Analie’s getting to be a professional sitter-upper.  Whilst sitting up, she blew out the ADORABLE Panda outfit that my cousin Christie gave her.  I was so excited that it was cold enough that she could wear it, and then KAPOW.  Blown out three hours later.  But at least she wore it for a little while.

All this to say, that’s why my kid is only wearing a onesie in the video.

And her Papa had better watch out – she may have laid claim to his lazy chair.  It’s SO! EXCITING!

SMILE TIME!!

SMILE TIME!!

After Ana’s afternoon feeding, we gave up on the nap.  And, judging from this video, she doesn’t really seem to be suffering too much from lack of sleep.  Of course, I just noticed she barfed on her outfit (which is way too big, but it’s warm and today it’s SO COLD, I didn’t think size mattered) but try not to hold it against her.

Please note her ridiculous shark fin hair.  I’m not sure what we’ll do when the rest of her hair finally grows in and her shark fin is gone, but until that day comes I will continue to laugh at it.  Hi-larious.

Hairball!

Hairball!

Analie has been working on her laughing skills recently, and she has made some remarkable progress.  Although, she still does sound rather like a cat hacking up a hairball if you don’t know what she’s trying to do.

We think it’s adorable and charming.

The burrito princess charms again!

She definitely laughs on this video, but it’s right at the beginning so don’t miss it.  Also…it’s kind of long.  Probably on her grandparents and aunties and uncles will actually be interested in the whole thing.

Mexico: The Smacking Iguana

Mexico: The Smacking Iguana

This video is not as long as I wished, nor as close to the iguana…but as I stepped on to the grass to get closer to him, I started feeling burning pains in my toes.  Turns out I was standing on a bunch of fire ants, and it started hurting really bad.  (You can see the camera go all jerky when they really start biting.)

To go…or not to go: Henry’s opinion

To go…or not to go: Henry’s opinion

Joey and I are tossing around the idea of going to Iowa for the long weekend.  We thought we’d ask Henry his opinion, and we originally thought we’d take it…but turns out Henry stinks at helping make decisions.  Anyway, the following video is for your edification/amusement/whatever you want to use it for.

All I know is that Henry stinks, both literally and figuratively.

Henry attempts to give me a high-five and fails miserably

Henry attempts to give me a high-five and fails miserably

Yesterday I started teaching Henry to give me high-fives.  He was doing great this morning, high-fiving me every time I asked him to, and on the first try, too!

Well, about half an hour later when we went to film him he was uncooperative at best.  So here he is barely doing a high-five at all.  He wouldn’t even do it without me asking him to “stand” first, which is a sign that he’s forgotten everything he just learned.

(He’s not real smart though, so the fact that he picked it up in just over 24 hours is kind of amazing.)

ATTEMPT #1 (he’s too sleepy to perform)

ATTEMPT #2 (probably the best one…)

ATTEMPT #3 (he’s still sleepy)
